2001 Omega Seamaster 300 "Electric Blue" (Box & Papers)

A relic of the 1990s, when watchmakers weren’t afraid of bold metallic color, this Seamaster stands apart as something Omega has never truly revisited.

Among the many executions of the iconic Seamaster "Wave Dial", only one earned a nickname of its own: Electric Blue. The reason is immediate. Its metallic, almost liquid texture reacts dramatically to light, shifting from from deep navy to near-aquamarine depending on the angle.

What further separates this reference from its peers is its construction. While many Seamaster variants from the same generation feature painted aluminum bezels—prone over time to fading, chipping, and wear—the Electric Blue is paired with a solid stainless steel bezel. The result is a watch that ages more gracefully, retaining its presence and sharpness decades later.

Since production ended, Omega has continued to produce Seamasters in blue, black, and a range of safer, more conservative tones. Yet the Electric Blue has never been reissued, nor has anything close to this vivid metallic finish resurfaced.
