Cartier doesn’t usually do “funky.” Which is exactly why this works.
The brand decided to be a bit playful – just look at the dial, it breaks away from the usual silver-and-black formula. Add in the fact that the Roadster case itself is already unconventional. Tonneau-shaped, but softened. Sporty, but still unmistakably Cartier.
But the real star here is the dial. Instead of playing it safe, Cartier went with a pop of color—called by some as the “Las Vegas Roulette.” It’s bold without being loud, playful without losing refinement. The oversized Arabic numerals stretch and distort along the dial, a signature Roadster quirk that somehow still works, especially against this more expressive backdrop.
And yet, it’s still Cartier. Blended into all that color are the brand’s staples: sword hands, clean layout, and a sense of proportion that keeps everything from tipping over into novelty.
Sized at around 38mm, it wears comfortably, with enough presence to feel sporty but still versatile enough to dress up. Inside is an automatic movement, keeping things practical and in line with the watch’s everyday nature.
