2023 Tudor Black Bay 58 (Box & Papers)

After the success of the original Black Bay in 2012, Tudor proved it understood the modern vintage enthusiast. In 2018, with the release of the Black Bay Fifty-Eight, the brand did something more interesting: it stopped chasing reissues and started refining an idea.

Yes, the BB58 pulls from Tudor’s greatest hits. The oversized crown and lack of crown guards was inspired by the 1954 ref. 7922.

The snowflake hands came from the 1967 ref. 7021, which has now become iconic and inseparable from Tudor’s identity.

The history is obvious, intentional, and well executed.

At 39mm wide and just 12mm thick, the case hits a sweet spot modern watches often miss. It wears how a modestly-sized tool watch should, without feeling dated or compromised. The Oyster-style construction is solid and familiar, while the dial balances heritage cues with excellent legibility thanks to bold applied markers against a dark, matte backdrop.
