DESCRIPTION

The Geneve series was introduced as a tribute to Omega's Geneva workshops, which were home to the brand's top regulators (calibrators). By 1970, the Geneve product line alone contributed to 60% of Omega's total production. However, the line was discontinued in 1979 due to a regulation in Geneva which mandated that a brand must maintain a presence in the canton of Geneva to use the term 'Geneva' or its variants on the dial.

It's a good thing we can turn to the past to appreciate these bygone, discontinued timepieces.
