1969 Omega Seamaster Cosmic

In the 1960s, a competition was transpiring between two Cold War rivals – the Soviet Union and the United States. Commonly known as the Space Race, the two nations were eyeing to make history by being the first to send a man to the moon. The US eventually emerged victorious in 1969, behind the successful landing of Apollo 11 and Neil Armstrong's first walk on the moon.

During the height of the race, Omega ingeniously launched the Seamaster Cosmic, as a way to capitalize on the space age.
