Named after its historical inspiration, the 'Historiques Triple Calendar 1942' is a vintage reissue directly influenced by the Vacheron Constantin 1942 Reference 4240. Although Vacheron Constantin's initial calendar wristwatches date back to 1920, the 1940s are often considered the brand's golden age for this complication. The reference 4240, produced in yellow and pink gold as well as steel, is now seen as a timeless classic with unique design elements that add charm and endearment, such as the claw or cornes de vache lugs, a thin bezel paired with a slightly protruding box-crystal, and a triple-gadroon caseband.

The two-tone cream-colored dial, adorned with blue accents, exudes retro-chic charm while maintaining perfect readability. The sunburst-satin finish and slightly recessed small seconds at 6 o'clock with a concentric pattern contribute to the crisp and neat aesthetic. The blued hands add a unique touch, with the baton-style minute hand being longer and thinner than the hour hand. Paired with a red arrow-tipped pointer date indicating the current date on a peripheral track, this layout pays homage to the classic designs of the 1940s.
